THE GIANT REV PRO 2024 IN TEST!

A FAVORABLE BIAS

Feeling is hard to explain, but there’s an extra boost of confidence when we went out to try the GIANT REV PRO. Obviously, we know where it comes from—Chris Harper’s crash during the fourth stage of the 2024 Tour of the Alps is no small factor. We didn’t play daredevils, but we felt very well protected in case our heads took a hit.

PRESENTATION (AGAIN)

To spare you tedious navigation or if you missed our E-Book No. 77, you will find the presentation of the REV PRO helmet upon receipt in this section.

TEST !

Giant Rev Pro Helmet. Even though we form an opinion about a helmet after the first ride, it is essential to test it in wet, dry, and then hot conditions. The « very hot » test will come this summer.

EXCERPT FROM E-BOOK#80

Effective, the REV PRO Helmet !

We weren’t going to serve you its presentation again from our previous E-Book. Let’s go straight to the details !

The obvious “PLUS” points

As you now know (if you’ve read our helmet tests), the first criterion is a good fit (therefore size AND occipital adjustment), the second: ventilation, and the third: strap adjustment. Well, trust us blindly on at least 2 of these criteria! It’s rare for us to say this! But here’s why.

The adjustment dial on the occipital bone is incredibly reliable, that’s 1. Then, the strap adjustment—no more usual hassle thanks to a clever, though not innovative, yet effective mechanism!

The “Tightenings”

The rear dial is fantastic; it’s of high quality and ensures a perfect fit. As for the strap closure clip, it’s classic (not magnetic, but that’s just a small gimmick)
