LIEGE BASTOGNE LIEGE 2024 REVIEW !

THE MEN’S RACE

Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2024 review: Romain BARDET finished 2nd behind… Tadej POGACAR! Out of laziness, we could have served you the V4Rs from Colnago again, but what’s the point? Especially since suspicions are starting to grow (among our readers and pro riders to the point where they don’t even bother chasing anymore). Anyway, the eternal disappointed of his race (Romain Bardet) finished 2nd on his Scott Foil RC! An expensive bike! It was about time he placed by winning a podium!

THE WOMEN’S RACE

FDJ SUEZ on Lapierre! Equipped with the Xelius, the Australian Grace BROWN won Liège-Bastogne-Liège and outshone the big World Tour teams. A good reason for us to focus on Lapierre, whose partnership with the male FDJ team ended in 2023 in favor of Wilier.

Romain BARDET was in tears!

It must be admitted that it was about time! We read before his podium at Liège-Bastogne-Liège that he was thinking of « hanging up ». The guy is hard to figure out, fitness, mindset, he’s not a warrior who demolishes others whenever he wants. But he is valiant and restores the reputation of his German team and that of Scott. We don’t comment on races but we follow them for the equipment « that wins ». And it turns out that the Scott Foil RC remains expensive at €14,999. So, a little focus, without obviously forgetting that Pogačar finished first in style, relegating Bardet to 1’39 » and with an average of 40.85 km/h over 254.5 km, but his « gear » (Colnago V4Rs and Enve 4.5 wheels) remains the same and has already been mentioned many times.
