An immense Expo !
Velofollies : Professional cycling gear. Belgium loves cycling. No less than 6 halls were dedicated to the trade show. It was a busy affair to cover as many booths as possible, from institutional ones to lesser-known brands and those rarely seen in French exhibitions.
The Observations
A wide array of mechanical bicycles was on display at the trade show (contrary to those who thought they were on the decline); we estimated them to be over 60%. However, brands are heavily focused on THE LOOK! Since frames are increasingly similar (if not ALL the same), distinction comes from graphics and other decorations, hence the explosion of configurators.

« PRINCETON : Developed with the Ineos Grenadier. As a reminder from our previous E-Book on aesthetics, Princeton offers no less than 10 different sticker colors. Featured at Velofollies are the 6560s, meaning a 60mm rim for the front and 65mm for the rear (height). Princeton offers you 3 choices: the freehub type (standard), the hubs (6 choices, less standard), and the sticker color…/…1.45 kg for 60mm rims and above is acceptable. However, the rim design resembles Zipp NSW, with visible spoke heads, which makes the price less understandable. Nevertheless, in terms of appearance, it’s impressive, although a bit pricey for anodized hubs and custom stickers in your colors. As for the Princeton range, you have options: the 3532, the 4550, the 6560, and the 7580. The same principle applies: two different rim heights (front/rear).« .
