The crucial choices
Which cycling equipment : group and which devices ? This is the advantage of the bare frame, you choose EVERYTHING ! Except that it is more expensive and you now have to know about mechanics (hydraulic conduits). We don’t forget the appropriate tools so as not to ruin your purchase due to irritation due to the use of an approximate tool.
Groupset
Cycling equipment started whit to the groupset. True to our enthusiasm for the 2023 SRAM Force (E-Book Com SRAM), we chose this groupset for our disc “showcase” bike. And why not the SRAM Red ? Despite its reference among the Pros, we preferred the look of the Force levers. And that was enough. Its direct competitor is the Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, but we are not fans (nor experts) of mounting the battery in the seat post. If, like us, you can’t stand waiting for a knowledgeable technician for the slightest problem, then SRAM ticks all the boxes.FRAME
Peripherals
There too, we had fun (and that’s the goal). At this stage, we are missing the cockpit, the saddle, the pedals, the ribbon and the bottle cages, (the wheels will come later).
